Simply sign up for a programmer and pay for the programmer by the month. We will then allocate a programmer to work exclusively for you during your daily support period.

Plans and Prices

Talented web programmers are available to undertake coding tasks in PHP/MySQL (other flavors of SQL are fine too).

* With the 2-for-1 Special, we provide you with one full-time, Standard-level programmer plus a second full-time, Standard-level programmer for free for six months (or until service is cancelled - whichever occurs first). There is a limit of one 2-for-1 Special per customer.

A setup fee applies for each programmer hired ($199 for each full-time programmer and $129 for each part-time programmer), including the first programmer hired under the 2-for-1 Special but not the second (free) programmer provided under the 2-for-1 Special.

 

Tasks Covered

Your assigned programmer can carry out PHP coding and development tasks such as:

• Building applications from scratch;
• Customizing existing open source applications;
• Maintaining or enhancing your proprietary software;
• And so on.

Please note that programmers are not web designers and so do not carry out graphics tasks. Similarly, our programmers are not able to undertake system administration work.

Specialists: Wordpress and Joomla programmers

Need a programmer who is already familiar with Wordpress or Joomla? Our specialist programmers are able to install, modify and develop plugins/modules for their speciality product (Wordpress or Joomla). They can also carry out more general PHP tasks if you wish. Programmers are not able to carry out image and web design work, so if your Joomla or Wordpress projects involve changes to the look-and-feel of the website then you may also need to hire a web designer. Qualifications

Your assigned PHP programmer will have a university-level degree in a related field. Common qualifications include:

• Bachelor of Technology
• Bachelor of Science (Computer Science)

Software Available

Your assigned programmer can develop PHP applications for your Windows, Linux or Unix server environment and will work on a Linux desktop with the following software installed:

• PHP
• MySQL
• Quanta IDE
• Web browsers (Firefox, Opera)
• Instant messenger (AOL, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN supported)
• Open Office
• Various other standard Linux software packages

 

Standard, Premium, Gold and Certified

We provide programmers at four different quality levels to give you the flexibility to choose the service which best suits you:

• Standard programmers have sound basic PHP and MySQL skills and can carry out a wide range of tasks. They are best suited to projects which do not involve advanced programming techniques or technologies such as object-oriented programming and PHP frameworks. Detailed specifications will help you get the most value from your Standard programmer. If you have a more loosely-defined project then a higher-level programmer is recommended.
• Premium programmers have stronger PHP and MySQL skills than Standard programmers, and tend to have higher productivity. Premium programmers are able to adapt well to whatever PHP-based technologies your project involves, including more advanced techniques and technologies.
• Gold programmers have strong PHP and MySQL skills and are well-placed to work on complex projects. They are efficient, seasoned coders. Apart from being able to adapt quickly to whatever PHP-based technologies are required, they are also able to work with more loosely-defined projects (although detailed specifications are always recommended). Gold programmers can also supervise and coordinate other staff if required.
• Certified programmers are Zend Certified Engineers (ZCEs) so you can rest assured that they have strong, independently-verified PHP programming skills. They are experienced coders who can complete complex projects and coordinate other staff if required.

 

Interact with your assigned staff

You can interact with your assigned staff via:

• Email - we will notify you of an email address which you can use to directly contact the staff assigned to you. Your assigned staff can also respond directly to you;
  
• Instant messenger - we will provide an instant messenger address at which you can directly contact the staff assigned to you at any time during your daily service period; and
  
• Job Tracker - we provide a task management system in our customer center which you can use to provide instructions and files to your assigned staff.

 

Supervision

We provide basic supervision only. That is, we ensure that your assigned staff attend work on time and work diligently while at work.

We do not provide advanced supervision, meaning that we do not oversee the actual tasks undertaken. Rather, you would need to directly interact with your assigned staff to ensure that work is being carried out to your satisfaction. You would also need to be sure to assign sufficient, clearly-defined work and to monitor work progress in order to get as much value as possible out of your paid support period.

 

Number of Hours Worked

Full-time staff work 8 hours per day (including a meal break) and Part-time staff work 4 hours per day (including a meal break). All staff work five days per week (Monday to Friday).

Your assigned staff will work exclusively for you throughout your daily service period, and will not be assigned to any other customer during that time.

 

Shift Times

Our Standard, Premium, Gold and Specialist staff work during one of the following three shifts:

• 6am-2pm local time
• 2pm-10pm local time
• 10pm-6am local time

Our certified PHP and .NET programmers work during one of the following shifts, unless otherwise agreed prior to purchase:

• 8am-4pm local time
• 9am-5pm local time

We have staff in both India. The time zone in India is GMT +5:30.

For the health and welfare of our staff regular shift rotation is necessary for Standard, Premium, Gold and Specialist staff. This means that generally your assigned staff member will change shifts on a monthly basis.
